BUSINESS, LANGUAGE, MANAGEMENT
Prof.dr hab. Peter Szaffko
University of Debrecen co-organized with Poznan University College of Business
The organizers are pleased to invite papers in a
special field of study combining the three subjects in the above
section title: Business related to Language related to Management. In
our world of speedy globalization business cannot do without special
language competencies (oral presentations, public speaking,
translation, interpretation, etc.) and language learning requires a
constant renewal of and alternative approaches to classroom management,
curriculum management and language school management. English is the
lingua franca of international business but languages of each nation
should be appreciated and promoted as part of a multicultural world.
The conference organizers would be happy to see papers on issues which
touch upon the above aspects and present possible answers to the new
challenges. The section is organized by Professor Péter Szaffkó,
Director of Debrecen Summer School teaching Hungarian language and
culture since 1927, Associate Professor and Ambassador of the
University of Debrecen, Hungary, and Visiting Professor of Poznan
University College of Business. If you have any questions regarding the
section or the conference, please contact him at:

Cooperating Globally
The panoply of attempted solutions to the
global financial crisis as we enter the second decade of the new
millennium underscores the welter of connections in the global
economy in which we live. Despite the feeling that one should
attempt to disconnect from the wider global mess in retreat, it
is not a real option. Global cooperation by managers is not an
idle thought nor a plea for collective moral responsibility, but
rather the key to worldwide success. This conference will
explore the many meanings of global collaboration and seek to
provide a sharing of strategic approaches and lessons learned
relevant to confronting this business epoch’s unfolding reality.
